This updated Collection of Edgar Allan Poe features the same poems and short stories as the aged version: seven works of poetry and eight of prose. They have been reformatted and updated to a more modern look. This edition is printed on 120gsm cold pressed acid free bamboo paper, entirely tree free! It is quarter bound with a spine of luxurious Japanese bookcloth, and features a mauve cover embedded with banana bark fibers on a lightweight, acid free kozo sheet. Its endpapers were machine marbled in France on cotton rag paper. Paper marbling originated in East Asia before spreading to the Middle East and Europe, flourished in France during the 18th and 19th centuries. French machine marbled paper, inspired by the traditional hand marbled techniques, remains a staple of fine bookbinding. A bult in ribbon bookmark ensures you never lose your place in the 212 pages. It was sewn together with French link stitch, a binding technique that has been in use for over 500 years.
