This sketchbook was bound using the Secret Belgian Binding technique. This is a modern technique that is perfect for sketchbooks - it allows the pages to lay completely flat, and even allows for the cover to fold over itself. The 'secret' of this binding style is that the way the signatures (sections of folded pages) are attached is not immediately obvious. Can you figure it out? It has 80 pages of 68lb (100gsm) sketch paper that has been hand torn at the foredge to create a deckled edge. Its endpapers are Japanese chiyogami paper which is silkscreened by hand in Japan, each color individually! This book is small enough that it can travel anywhere you do, so you always have an elegant book for your artistic needs.
